Residential Window Tint Installation Central Coast NSW – Low-E 70%
Residential Window Tint Installation with Low-E 70%
A recent residential window tinting project completed across multiple sun-exposed areas of the property, including shed windows, sliding doors and bedroom windows facing direct sunlight. Low-E 70% film was installed to reduce glare and heat while maintaining a bright, natural interior.
Client concern: Excess heat and glare entering through multiple sun-facing windows throughout the day.
Solution: Low-E 70% film installed across key glass areas to improve comfort while keeping natural light.
Improving comfort across sun-facing glass
This project involved multiple glass areas exposed to strong sunlight throughout the day. The goal was to improve comfort, soften glare and reduce the heat building up inside the property, while still keeping the glass looking clean and allowing in a natural amount of light.
Along with the shed window, shed sliding door and main house back door, two bedroom windows facing direct sunlight were also tinted as part of the job. This helped deliver a more complete comfort upgrade across the property rather than only improving one section.
A Low-E 70% film was selected as a practical solution for this style of residential setup. It helps control heat and glare while maintaining a bright, open and usable feel indoors.
Shed window before & after
The shed window received a high amount of direct sunlight, making the inside noticeably brighter and warmer during the day. This was one of the key areas where improved control over heat and glare was needed.
Strong sunlight entering the shed
Before installation, the glass allowed a high amount of sunlight and glare into the space.
More controlled light and comfort
After tinting, the glass still allows visibility while helping soften glare and reduce heat build-up.
Shed sliding door before & after
The main sliding door of the shed was also fully exposed to the sun. This large glass section contributed to both glare and increased heat entering the area, making it a strong candidate for film installation.
Clear glass with full sun exposure
The shed entry door was allowing direct sunlight through a large glass area during the brightest parts of the day.
Cleaner finish with improved performance
The finished result gives the glass a more refined look while helping reduce heat and glare entering through the door.
Main house back door before & after
The sliding back door of the main house also faced strong daylight. This affected interior comfort and glare inside the living area, especially through the brighter parts of the day.
Bright interior glare through the glass
Before tinting, the living area received stronger glare and sunlight through the rear sliding door.
Balanced light with improved comfort
After installation, the glass still feels open and bright while the light entering the home is more controlled.
Bedroom windows also included in the comfort upgrade
In addition to the photographed glass areas, two bedroom windows facing direct sunlight were also tinted as part of this project. These windows were contributing to heat build-up and stronger light entering the rooms during the day.
Including the bedroom windows helped make the overall result more practical for daily living, extending the benefits of glare and heat reduction beyond the shed and main living areas.
Film used: Low-E 70% VLT
For this project, a Low-E film with approximately 70% visible light transmission was used. This type of film is well suited to residential applications where clients want to maintain a brighter natural look while still improving comfort.
- Helps reduce heat entering through the glass
- Softens glare without making the room feel overly dark
- Maintains a natural and bright appearance
- Suitable for sun-facing residential windows and sliding doors
The result
With Low-E film installed across these sun-exposed glass sections, the shed and main house both benefit from improved comfort, reduced glare and a more controlled amount of light entering the space.
By also including the bedroom windows, the project delivered a more complete residential comfort upgrade across the property rather than only targeting one area.
The finished look also appears cleaner and more refined from outside, which adds to the overall presentation of the property while delivering practical day-to-day benefits.
